Biography
Dr. Ankit Saha is a Consultant in the Department of Neuromuscular Dentistry, specializing in the diagnosis and management of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), TMJ disorders, facial pain, neuromuscular occlusion, and sleep-related breathing disorders. With extensive clinical and academic experience, he is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care using advanced digital diagnostic techniques and contemporary treatment protocols.
He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) followed by a Master's degree (MDS) in Oral Medicine and Radiology. To further enhance his expertise in Neuromuscular Dentistry, Dr. Saha pursued advanced training through the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO), where he earned the prestigious Fellowship (FICCMO). He also holds certification in Disclusion Time Reduction (DTR) protocol, enabling precise diagnosis and treatment of occlusal dysfunctions.
Dr. Saha has received advanced training under internationally recognized experts in Neuromuscular Dentistry and continuously updates his clinical knowledge through international education and research. His areas of interest include Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), Cranio-Cervico-Mandibular Disorders (CCMD), occlusal rehabilitation, facial pain, and sleep medicine. He is experienced in the use of digital diagnostic technologies, polysomnography, and Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy for the comprehensive management of sleep-related disorders.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Saha is actively involved in teaching, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to academic and research activities at Kantipur Dental College. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focusing on the relationship between gastric disorders and Temporomandibular Disorders, reflecting his commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research.
